The Full Picture

I'm Chris Mihailides, a recent graduate from the Digital Cinema program at NAIT. I've got years of experience as a freelance videographer and working within a media company called Filmr Media. I aim to tell your unique story and help people project their message through video. I've made three short films credit as a writer director, cinematographer, and editor.

I care deeply about people's stories and want to give them a voice through my content. I understand the power of visual storytelling and how it can be used to evoke emotion, convey a message and connect with audiences. That's why I work closely with my clients to understand their message and create video content that effectively communicates it. I'm dedicated to creating a high-quality video that resonates with audiences and makes an impact. I'm passionate about giving people a voice and helping them tell their stories through video.

Moving Artistry Production

February 2023 - Present
Role: Editor / Cam Op   

With Moving artistry productions I held the crucial role of editor. I worked as head editor for many high-budget productions. Over the span of a year, I actively contributed to the intricate interworking of the filmmaking process, playing an integral part in shaping the story in a post production role, from conception to completion. My responsibilities included Footage Review, Assembling and arranging, to the final delivery. Taking charge of the overall coordination of post-production efforts, showcasing my commitment to delivering top-tier results in a collaborative team setting.

Role: Casual Videographer 

As a dedicated videographer at CBC Edmonton, I adeptly produced high-quality video content for various news segments. Collaborating seamlessly with the news team, I demonstrated strong skills in framing, shooting, and editing, contributing to the creation of visually compelling stories. My commitment to delivering top-notch visuals played a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality of CBC's multimedia productions.

With the YouTube channel “Ring Chasers” I play a pivotal role in transforming sports narratives into captivating visual experiences. Utilizing advanced tools such as Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro I've successfully crafted dynamic motion graphics and visual storytelling that have contributed to the exponential growth of our video essays, consistently reaching thousands of views. My commitment to precision and creativity ensures that our content not only informs but entertains, fostering a loyal and engaged audience.

FILMR Media 

May 2021 - February 2023

Role: Videographer   

As a freelancer working with Filmr Media, I wore multiple hats as a director, editor, and cinematographer. As a director, I was responsible for overseeing the creative vision and direction of the project, while also communicating with the client and ensuring that their needs were met. As an editor, I was responsible for assembling and fine-tuning the footage to create a cohesive and compelling final product. And as a cinematographer, I was responsible for capturing the visual elements of the project, including camera angles, lighting, and color grading. I was able to use my skills and experience in each of these areas to bring the client's vision to life and create a high-quality final product.

Tiny House Master Plan

Novemeber 2021 - November 2022

Role: Producer, Videographer

As a member of a team of three working on the "Tiny House Master Plan" YouTube show, I was responsible for contributing to various aspects of the production process. I helped to plan and organize the shooting schedule, collaborated with my team members on the creative direction and vision of the show, and worked together to ensure that all of the necessary footage was captured. My role as a team member was to bring my skills and experience in direction, cinematography, and editing to the table to help create a high-quality final product. Working in a team on this project helped me to develop my teamwork skills, as I had to learn to communicate effectively with my team members, be open to feedback and suggestions, and work collaboratively to achieve a common goal. Through this experience, I was able to learn the importance of teamwork and how effective communication and collaboration can lead to a successful project outcome.

After graduating from high school, I became a freelance videographer and fell in love with content creation. I specialize in creating videos for a variety of different purposes, including social events, weddings, tutorials, and local YouTubers. I have a passion for capturing moments and creating visually stunning and engaging content.

 I quickly found that there was a high demand for my services, and I was able to build a successful business as a freelance videographer.

I have experience in a wide range of videography, including event videography, corporate videos, and music videos. Additionally, I have created content for local YouTubers and other social media influencers.
